In the latest in our series of interviews with leaders from across Hg’s portfolio, Elizabeth Wallace speaks to Dr David Cooper of Cooper Limon.

Leadership risk arises when the insight, behaviour and judgement of the senior leadership team is not aligned with the business. Its significance is widely recognised but often little understood and poorly managed. This can lead to value leakage or unrealised potential as leaders fail to monitor and direct the business appropriately.

David founded Cooper Limon in 2004 and is the author of ‘Leadership Risk: A guide for private equity and strategic investors’ (Wiley 2010) and co-author of ‘Managing the people dimension of risk’ (Corporate Research Forum 2010).
