Richard is Head of Value Creation Directors within the broader Hg’s Value Creation Team. Richard works closely with exec chairs, CEOs and leadership teams to lead value creation at our portfolio companies – often architecting value creation plans (VCPs) to align management and boards on the right priorities, partnering with functional leaders and Hg SMEs to scope and execute value creation projects, and then providing coordination and support to ensure successful execution and outcomes.

Since joining Hg in 2017, Richard has worked closely with portfolio companies across Hg’s funds and clusters; in recent years this has included IRIS, Litera, Sovos, Serrala, Ideagen and Access.

Experience

Before joining Hg, Richard spent four years at L.E.K. Consulting in Australia and the UK where he worked on strategy, due diligence and performance improvement projects for a range of private equity and corporate clients.
