Max Newberry

Max is a Principal at Hg, where he leads the firm’s Fund solutions group, working in close co-ordination with the Client Services and Capital Markets teams. He is also a member of the Hg Titan Steering Committee and an observer on the firm’s Investment and Realisation Committees.

Having joined Hg in 2017, Max’s responsibilities include fund management, portfolio financing and strategic initiatives of behalf of the firm, as well as coverage of Hg’s clients across the Middle East, Canada and Latin America. Since joining, Max has helped develop the firm’s approach to fund and balance sheet management, leading >$5 billion of innovative GP and fund financing facilities, whilst also working across multiple primary fundraisings with >$30 billion in aggregate capital commitments raised.

Prior to joining, Max spent a number of years working for Rede Partners and Investec Bank. Max holds a degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham.
