As part of Hg’s Data & AI Leadership Team, Tim leads AI and Data transformation programmes across the Hg portfolio - working hands-on with boards, CEOs and C-suite leaders to deliver measurable EBITDA and operational impact, and leveraging Hg’s collective ~$180bn EV of scale to bring differentiating Data & AI expertise and proprietary operational IP.
Tim brings 14+ years’ experience across Data & AI, engineering and consulting. He builds and scales repeatable playbooks across the end-to-end Data & AI journey, spanning strategy and operating model (prioritisation, readiness, governance, capability building), commercial and operational optimisation using AI (service & back-office automation, customer support automation, AI engineering, GTM augmentation), and AI-first, customer-facing products (including agentic solutions and workflow automation).
He also partners with investment teams through diligence to assess Data & AI maturity, shape value creation plans, and build capabilities such as data-driven origination for M&A. Alongside delivery, Tim grows and manages an ecosystem of trusted partners and collaborates closely with Hg’s functional Value Creation heads (Tech, Growth, Finance, Talent, Cyber) to accelerate execution at scale.
Experience
Prior to Hg, Tim was at Oliver Wyman, where he built consulting toolkits and led Analytics and Data programmes for Tier 1 global banks. He holds a PhD from University of Bonn and BA + MSci from University of Cambridge, in Physics.
