As part of Hg’s in-house legal team, Laura has a particular focus on working with Hg’s portfolio companies and providing legal support with impact.

Laura and other members of the team provide hands-on support to portfolio companies across various stages in their journey with Hg, from acting as a sounding board on key strategic issues to providing support and assistance on expert issues including antitrust, M&A, data privacy and Generative AI.

Laura also provides support to Hg portfolio companies’ boards in evaluating their legal functions. She provides guidance on best practices and operational efficiencies, from making their first legal hire to developing a best-in-class, professionalised legal franchise - enabling in-house functions to reach their full potential as business partners, aligning with the business ambitions and delivering outcomes supporting key initiatives.
