Maria is Head of Core Compliance and a member of the Risk and Compliance team at Hg, with responsibility for firm-wide regulatory and conduct compliance.
Experience
Maria has over 10 years’ regulatory and compliance experience across private equity and financial services.
Prior to joining Hg, Maria spent around 8 years as Legal and Compliance Manager at Bowmark Capital. Earlier in her career, she worked in compliance consulting at ACA Group, where she spent 3 years advising financial services firms.
Maria holds an LLB from Democritus University of Thrace (Greece) and an LLM from the University of Warwick (UK). She is a qualified lawyer in Greece and a Member (MCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
