Head of Marketing
Tom leads Hg’s marketing team, with a primary aim to support Hg’s teams with outbound origination and deal transactions, using digital and traditional marketing and communication strategies to target founders, management teams and other sellers of businesses in Hg’s target sectors. Tom also oversees the Hg brand and all external communications for the firm.
Tom joined Hg in 2018 to set up the firm's first marketing and communications function, having previously specialised in private equity and financial services for nearly 10 years at a consultancy firm.
“Marketing in private capital is still an emerging function. It's been exciting to see it explode onto the scene and to see firms get more sophisticated every year. Our sector is having to compete more and it’s exciting to push a strategy to ensure we differentiate and grow our reputation and brand across this arena”.
