Lumesse was created by Hg via a carve-out from Stepstone in 2010 followed by two subsequent add-on acquisitions, which made it the largest independent vendor of human capital management software in Europe.

Lumesse was sold to Saba Software, a US HCM software vendor backed by Vector Capital, in 2018.
