Tara MacMillan

Tara is the Head of HR Business Partners and the Global Lead HR Business Partner for the Saturn Fund. In her role, she is responsible for driving high performance through culture and engagement while delivering HR operational excellence for Hg’s global employees. 

Tara is an experienced HR Business Partner within the alternative asset management industry. Prior to joining Hg, Tara spent 10 years in global HR Business Partner leadership roles at Apollo Management and EQT Partners. She started her career as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte’s Organization Transformation practice. Tara is an alumna of Vanderbilt University and has an academic background in Psychology, Organizational Development and Leadership & Enterprise Effectiveness. 

Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her son and her dog. When not spending time with family, she is an avid reader and writer. Tara is passionate about youth education, career mentorship, and expanding opportunity for underrepresented individuals.
