Marc has over 25 years of expertise in managing audience growth, user engagement, sales, subscription and advertising revenue. His work experience spans across leading telecommunication, media, and technology enterprises such as Deutsche Telekom, Premiere/Sky, and Microsoft. He is working with Hg as an industry adviser on Portfolio Growth and Digital Transformation initiatives since 2018.
In his 10 years with Microsoft he managed the Worldwide Audience & Marketing Team spanning across more than 30 countries and was responsible for Microsoft’s online business group’s policies, strategies, goals, processes and procedures in full discretionary authority over day-to-day operations. He also managed engineering and data analysis teams to drive scalable cross network engagements and business opportunities, contributing plus $1billion in incremental revenue. He was awarded as top 3% performer within Microsoft’s workforce three times during his time with the company.
Prior to joining Hg he worked as independent Advisor or in interim C-level positions for private equity firms like ARDIAN, Harald Quandt and also Hg. Marc studied International Business and Business Psychology in Heidelberg, Paris and Madrid, and speaks fluently English, German, and French.
