Given the large percentage of businesses within the HgCapital Portfolio that are (or are in the process of becoming) subscription-based businesses, we felt that forming a strong, preferred technology partner, to provide Cloud subscription billing and revenue management platforms, would add immediate value across our portfolio.

Zuora Inc is recognised by both Gartner and Forrester Research as being a leader and visionary in this field. We decided to partner with them, establishing preferential commercial and legal terms, to ease the adoption of the platform for any of our portfolio companies, making this transition.

As a part of this we wanted to help our businesses get real value from this partnership. That’s why we sent a group of 20 CFO, CTO and CIOs from portfolio companies to be VIP guests at the Zuora Subscribed 2017 Conference, in London.  As part of this they were not only able to benefit from the conference agenda but had the opportunity to ask the Zuora CFO and CIO questions, directly, enhancing the learning and value from the general agenda sessions. And, as with all Hg events, it proved to be a fantastic networking opportunity both with existing Zuora customers, as well as Hg peer businesses.
