Hg’s latest forum invited CFOs from across the Hg portfolio for a lively day of debate, networking and sharing best practice. The event focused on finance function excellence, and how our CFO’s can maximise the value of their portfolio companies through Hg enabled systems architecture, data driven insight and the use of Hg portfolio team practitioners.
A selection of Hg CFO’s led discussions through the day, providing practical guidance and evidence of how these innovations have delivered improved performance.
CFO contributors on the day included Hayden Robinson of Commify, Peter Facchino of Achilles, Matthew Stewart of Citation, Kjetil Vinjum of AdminControl, Michael Hunt of BluJay Solutions and Martin Franks of Foundry.
Richard Howe & David Honey of Deloitte, introduced the Hg global CFO programme, a bespoke set of personal and professional opportunities to support our CFO’s development .
There were also sessions led by representatives from across the Hg group including David Toms, Tom Boucher, David Critchley, Tom Vallance, Jason Richards, Chris Kindt and Amr Ellabban. Discussions covered Finance Department maturity, tax, systems, data, how to understand and drive value in technology companies and also how to prepare successfully for the rigours of an exit process.
If there was one thing to take away from the forum, it was the breadth but commonality of the challenges faced by our CFO’s, and how Hg capability, working with our CFO’s is helping transform our businesses.
