Ullink is a global multi-asset trading technology software provider helping buy-sides and sell-sides connect, transit and execute millions of trades each day. This video explains how we worked together to help them acquire NYFIX and expand their product offering.

Capital markets software has been a strong focus for us since 2002. Right from the start, we thought Ullink had the potential to become an industry champion. It had high levels of recurring revenue and organic growth, a scalable cost base and a high rate of cash conversion. Most importantly there was an excellent platform for growth with a subscription revenue model across a diversified client base.

Founded in 2001, Ullink’s clients include over 150 of the world’s top-tier banks, from 39 countries and ranges from tier 1 global sell-side brokers to regional niche specialists across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. Although headquartered in France, around 60% of staff and 90% of Ullink’s revenue are outside the country.

Working together we helped management accelerate Ullink’s rate of growth through increased new customer wins. Investment in the sales and marketing functions, as well as the consolidation of smaller competitors has led Ullink to establish a broad international footprint and establish itself as one of the industry’s largest FIX based trading communities.

In November 2017, we signed the agreement to sell our ownership stake to Itiviti, a technology provider for the capital markets industry.
