Now trading as Noventic, QUNDIS was created in 2008 from the merger of QVEDIS (previously part of Siemens) and KUNDO SystemTechnik. It supplies a comprehensive range of sub-metering devices used to measure, collect and transmit consumption-dependent data for heating and water usage on a unit level. This video explains how we worked with management on the business’s expansion strategy.
QUNDIS supplies a comprehensive range of sub-metering devices including heat cost allocators, heat meters and water meters used to measure, collect and transmit consumption – dependent data for heating and water usage on a unit level.
When we started working with QUNDIS we identified that it had, already, a robust business model, benefitting from a recurring and predictable revenue stream. A significant proportion of sales were replacement related, driven by continuous upgrades to higher technology meters. The remainder were based on new installations, driven by increasing market regulation.
We worked with management to build on QUNDIS’ technological expertise and create value through cost efficiencies, smart metering solutions and by addressing energy savings. With a presence already in Russia, Turkey, France and Spain, we also identified that growth and value creation lay in international expansion, establishing QUNDIS as a leading solution provider in the sub metering sector across Europe.
In April 2017, we agreed the sale of QUNDIS to a German investment group around KALORIMETA, a leading service provider for climate-intelligent solutions in the buildings sector.
