A-Plan is a leading UK-based distributor of motor and household insurance policies to SMEs and individuals. It also specialises in a number of high-net worth and commercial niches, and in providing policies for foreign speaking customers. We supported A-Plan’s management to put in place several projects designed to result in growth, across the business.
We identified the insurance broking sub-sector as attractive for potential investment in 2011. A-Plan has a high-touch, service-oriented approach, leading to best-in-class levels of customer satisfaction which, in turn, drive high retention and referral rates as well as low customer acquisition costs.
With 73 high-street branches nationwide, and over 580,000 policyholders, we worked in partnership with A-Plan’s experienced management to put in place a series of project focused on organic growth in existing branches, as well as the roll-out of new branches. It was also felt that there are potential opportunities for further growth, in time, through selective Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as the development of new product lines.
